Returns & Exchanges

This policy explains when you may cancel an order or return goods purchased from GRIT Motorcycle Gear. Consumer rights in the European Union and European Economic Area can include a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts—but important exceptions apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Custom-made, personalised, and made-to-order goods

Many GRIT products are produced or configured based on your measurements, design choices, colours, logos, or other individual inputs. Under EU consumer protection rules (including the Consumer Rights Directive), the right of withdrawal may not apply once the contract is fully performed with your prior express consent and you acknowledged that you would lose your withdrawal right—typically at checkout—or where goods are made to your specifications or clearly personalised and the contract has been performed.

If you order custom or personalised gear, you should assume withdrawal/return for "change of mind" is excluded to the extent permitted by law. We will confirm the essential characteristics of your order before production where our process requires it.

Defective or non-conforming goods

If goods are defective or do not conform to the contract, your statutory rights may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or contract termination, depending on your country and the nature of the lack of conformity. Time limits and procedures vary—contact us promptly with photos and your order reference. Do not use defective safety gear on the road or track until the issue is resolved.

Wrong item or our error

If we sent the wrong item or made an identifiable error attributable to us, contact us within a reasonable time. We will instruct you on return or replacement in line with applicable law.

Condition of returns (where a return is accepted)

  • Goods must be unused, unworn (except fitting to verify size where reasonable), and in original packaging where applicable.
  • No returns of worn or crashed gear for hygiene and safety reasons, except as required for statutory defect claims.
  • Do not remove tags until you are sure you will keep the item (if tags apply).

How to request a return

  1. Email info@gritmotorcycle.com with your order number and reason.
  2. Wait for written authorisation and return instructions. Unauthorised returns may be refused.
  3. Pack items securely. You may be responsible for return shipping costs where the law allows us to charge them.

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method where possible. Refund timing depends on your bank or card issuer. Shipping charges may be non-refundable except where required by law.

Exchanges

Exchanges for size or colour may be treated as a new order and cancellation of the original, subject to stock and eligibility. Custom items usually cannot be exchanged for a different specification—see above.
